Designing and Delivering
In 2000 OFGEM introduced the concept of ‘Competition in Connections’ allowing Lloyds accredited companies to compete with the regional Distribution Network Operators (DNO’s). Growth in competition was slow until, in, 2014 under the distribution review the DNO’s were ‘encouraged’ to become more open and develop mechanisms for third parties to compete for the provision of connections. Today, under the Lloyds Accreditations Scheme, National Electricity Registration Scheme (NERS) accreditation almost all connections are competitively tendered to the benefit of not only cost but the flexibility and responsiveness of delivery.
All Sinewave Energy Solutions’ requires is a site plan and an accommodation schedule to provide a no obligation, fixed price proposal for your connection works. As a registered Independent Connection Provider (ICP), and using the information provided, all relevant applications are made to acquire a fixed point of connection, from the DNO, on which an outline design is based.
A straightforward, simple to follow connection proposal and plan is then created detailing the exact works to be carried out. The proposal will provide a breakdown of both contestable and non-contestable works (see FAQ’s).
At Sinewave Energy Solutions we understand that the most important thing about a connection, for you the client, is that it gets delivered on time and on budget. A project manager will work closely with you and our design team at every stage to ensure a seamless delivery of your project culminating in a timely power on!
